So, here it is on the design wall.
I couldn't say that I love it, but I think it works well with the style of the fabric. I fussycut scenes from the football fabric for the center of the squares, trying to get different scenes in each one.
I promise I'll only show one more picture of this quilt, when it's finished, and then you'll never see another football helmet on this blog!
I think it's wonderful. And please ... show us as much as you want.
ReplyDeleteJolene honestly its fine by us, show us whatever you fancy!! You know I never thought 'football' could be so stylish!! I'm sure the recipient will be mightily pleased. Justine xx
ReplyDeleteYou've really done a great job with this. Definitely "classed up" that fabric! And yes, please, do keep sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt's great! I think they're going to be really, really pleased with it; it's just what they asked for.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking really good! considering it's a football quilt :)
ReplyDeleteok, so i dont get American Football at all - i'm English so that's ok. And i can't say the fabric inspires me. BUT i'm SO GLAD you talked about this unusual quilt and how you decided to make it. doing things to order doesnt always mean our tastes, but you've worked this quilt brilliantly and it looks fantastic. thank you for sharing the process, so PLEASE DONT APOLOGISE any more!! :0)
ReplyDeleteWhen you showed the fabric I wondered if you really could make a cute quilt out of it. Well you did, that quilt is adorable! I love your choice of colors and your design. I'm sure they are going to love it!
